Create Product Bundles

When you add a Bundle to an Opportunity, the total price of the components will be assigned to the Bundle Opportunity Product, and all components within the bundle have a $0 value. The Quantity of each Bundle component is set by the administrator when the Bundle Product is created, and it cannot be changed without adjusting the Bundle Product’s overall quantity.

 

1. Create the Bundle Product

  1. Go to the Products Tab.
  2. Click the New Package Button.
  3. Click Bundle, then Select.
  4. Fill out the mandatory fields:
    1. Package Name – The name of the Bundle Product
    2. Select the appropriate Pricebook.
    3. Assign it to a Product Family, Product Code and other fields relavant to Products in your Salesforce environment.
  5. Then click Save, which will create your bundle Product.

 

2. Configure the Package Sections

  1. To add new Sections to the Package, click the Add Section button.
  2. To configure the parameters of the section, click the pencil. You can then edit the following:
    1. The Name – Label your section appropriately.
    2. Determine if it is single-select or multi-select.
      1. Single-select means only one Product in the section can be chosen
      2. Multi-select allows one or more Product to be chosen from the section
  3. Is it a required section – If set to true, at least one Product must be selected from this section when the Package is added to an Opportunity.

Once you have created all your sections, you can add Products to each of the sections in the Package.

 

3. Adding Products to the Package Sections

  1. To add a Product to the Package, locate it from the list of available products the left-side column and click the plus button.
  2. By Default, the Product will appear in the first section. You can then drag and drop it to the appropriate section.
  3. Once in the correct section, you can adjust the product in the following ways:
    1. Make it default –  The Products will be pre-selected when adding the Package to an Opportunity using the Product Manager.
    2. Modify the Sales Price – This can be used when a Product’s price differs depending on whether it is purchased individually or as part of a Package.”
    3. Modify the Quantity – This can be used when a Package requires multiple units of the same Product.

Repeat steps 1-3 until you have added all your Products to the Package, then click Save.

You have now successfully created a Package. Please repeat the above steps to create the remaining Packages.
