Configure Product Manager for Subscription Products

To configure Subscription Products in the Product Manager, you must purchase the Subscription Manager App. If you wish to use Subscription Products and haven’t already bought the Subscription Manager, then please get in touch.

Add the fields to the Product Page Layout and configure the appropriate data on the Product Records.

Follow these steps to do it:

1. Click on Object Manager and then click Product.
2. Click on Page Layouts, then select the appropriate page layout.
3. Add the Fields. Click Fields in the top pane. Drag these fields onto the Page Layout.
   • Subscription Product
   • Default Quantity Units
   • Default Renewal Type
   • Default Pricing Period
   • Default # Periods
   • Evergreen Default MRR Months
4. Save the Product Page layout. Repeat the steps above if you have multiple relevant Product Page layouts.
5. Navigate to the Product you wish to Configure.
6. Then Click the Edit Button
7. Set the Subscription Checkbox to TRUE
8. Then set the Default Renewal Type
   • Evergreen = No renewal required, and the product continues until cancelled
   • Renewable = The product has a subscription end date
   • Non-Renewable = No option to renew the product.
9. Then set the Default Quantity Units
   • Users = Number of users in the pricing model
   • Enterprises = per-platform pricing model
   • Default Pricing Period – set the appropriate cadence for the product
   • Default # Periods – How long does the Subscription last? Do not set a value if Evergreen; populate the Evergreen default MRR months.

Repeat steps 5 to 9 until you have configured all your Subscription Products.

Add the Fields to the Opportunity Product Page Layout.

Follow these steps to do it:

1. Click on Object Manager and then click Opportunity Product.
2. Click on Page Layouts, then select the appropriate page layout.
3. Add the Fields. Click Fields in the top pane. Drag these fields onto the Page Layout.
   • Quantity Units
   • Pricing Period
   • # Periods
   • Price Per Unit Per Period
   • Renewal Type
   • Start Date
4. Save the Opportunity Product Page layout. Repeat the steps above if you have multiple relevant Product Page layouts.
