How to Install the Target Tracker App
You can install the GSP Target Tracker from the AppExchange. For convenience, here’s a link directly to the AppExchange listing.
Important Note:
You do not need to provide any payment details upon installation. When you install the GSP Target Tracker in an environment for the first time, we offer a 14-day free trial, no-strings-attached.
You can install the GSP Target Tracker into Production or, if you prefer, into a Sandbox to complete initial testing without exposing anything to end users. Both options offer a 14-day free trial, as noted above.
Prerequisites:
You will need a system administrator to complete the steps in this article. If you’re unsure, get in touch.
Steps to Complete
- Open the GSP Target Tracker AppExchange listing page.
- Click the blue “Get It Now” button to begin the installation process.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation process.
- When prompted, select the environment you want to install the package in (Production or Sandbox).
- When prompted, we highly recommend you select “Install for All Users”.
- The manipulation of Opportunities and Opportunity Products is somewhat unpredictable, and it’s sensible to ensure all users have the appropriate access to trigger automation that keeps the targets in sync.

- Click “Install”.
- If you see a message that reads “The app is taking a long time to install”, don’t panic – that is very common when installing a package.
- Click “Done”.
- Navigate to the setup menu and click “Setup”.
- Search for “Installed Packages” in the Quick Find bar on the left side of the setup page.
- Click the “Installed Packages” under Apps > Packaging.
- Review the list of installed packages and confirm that you successfully installed the “GSP Target Tracker” package.
- If you don’t see the “GSP Target Tracker” package, continue to wait. Refresh the page occasionally until the package appears.
- Additionally, an email will be sent to the email address associated with your Salesforce user when the package installation has completed.
Outcomes
After you have installed the GSP Target Tracker package, you will be able to view the “GSP Target Tracker” app in the App Launcher within Salesforce (9-dot matrix in the top-left corner of the screen).
Important Consideration:
Installing a later version of the GSP Target Tracker when it already exists will upgrade it to the latest version without impacting any data. If you have any issues during the installation process, please get in touch.
Troubleshooting

Click the “Get It Now” button on the AppExchange listing to begin your trial of the GSP Target Tracker.

First, check whether you have received an email confirming the installation. If you have, it’s possible that the installation failed. In this case, the email will provide further details regarding the nature of the failure. For further support, get in touch here.
Recommendation:
Confirm that you selected the “Install for All Users” option during the installation process. Additionally, please navigate to “Setup”> “Permission Sets” and ensure that the appropriate users have been added to the “GSP Target Tracker (Full Access)” permission set.
