Linking Accounts to Create an Account Hierarchy

You can link Accounts using the Parent Account field to show the relationship between different Accounts in a group.

Linking Accounts this way means they appear on the Account Hierarchy page within the Manage Account Plans button.

To link two Accounts together, start by going to the Account that is lowest in the hierarchy (the ‘child’ Account).

For example, if I wanted to link The Gary Smith Partnership Canada to The Gary Smith Partnership North America, I would start by going to The Gary Smith Partnership Canada Account.

In the Parent Account field, enter the name of the parent. In our example, this would be The Gary Smith Partnership North America.

Click the Save button.

That’s it! You have created a relationship that will appear on the Account Hierarchy page within the Manage Account Plans button.
