How The Product Target Performance Fields Are Calculated

The Product Target Metric Fields are calculated from the Opportunity Product Total Price Values. The values come from Opportunity Products linked to the target record. You can see those Opportunity Products in the Related List.

In the table below, you can see how each of the Product Target Metrics fields are calculated:

Field Name: How is it Calculated?

  • Target: This is a manually inputted value that determines the Target value for the Record.
  • Closed Won: Automatically Rolls Up the Opportunity Product Total Price Value from Opportunity Products where the Opportunity is set to Closed Won.
  • Pipeline: Automatically Rolls Up the Opportunity Product Total Price Value from Opportunity Products where the Opportunity is in an open stage.
  • Weighted Pipeline: Automatically Rolls Up the Opportunity Product Total Price Value from Opportunity Products where the Opportunity is in an open stage. But this time the Total Price Value is multplied by the Opportunity Stage probability.
  • Total Expected Revenue: Closed Won + Weighted Pipeline
  • Expected Variance Amount: Target – Total Expected Revenue
  • % Target Achieved: Closed Won / Target
  • Pipeline as % of Target: Pipeline / Target
  • Weighted Pipeline as % of Target: Weighted Pipeline / Target
  • Expected Target % Achievement: Total Expected Revenue / Target

Remember, if you have any custom roll-up fields, these will have been set up by your internal System Administrator, so check with them if you have any incorrect values about custom fields on targets.
