Recalculating Product Schedules After Changes

Modifying product schedules can update the Total Price of an Opportunity Product Line Item for pipeline opportunities. However, in many instances, you will want to bring the schedule value back to align with the total price.

To do this:

1. Click the “Manage Schedules” button on the Opportunity.
2. Expand the section of the relevant Opportunity Product.
3. Then, edit the Booked Amount value of one or more schedules.
4. Look at the Booked Amount Total. You’ll see it’s in red. That’s because by modifying one or more schedules, the Line Item Total Price and sum of the Booked Amount across all schedules are out of sync.
5. Clicking “Auto-Calculate” will allow the non-adjusted schedules to recalculate and re-align the totals.

Note that the above functionality works the same for quantity schedules; increasing or decreasing the quantity will affect the Total Price of the Line Item. You can then use the auto-calculate function to re-align the values.

Remember, you can also save the increased values. However, this will adjust the overall total price or quantity of the opportunity product.
