Filtering Opportunity Products & Product Schedules

Available In Product Schedules 2.181+

In many cases, users want to analyse specific Products and/or Product Schedules within a single Opportunity without the tedious task of creating custom reports or list views. Our customisable filtering functionality allows end users to define personalised data views and quickly see the information they’re interested in, without requiring admin support.

Prerequisites:
Please ensure the “GSP Product Schedules (Full Access)” Permission Set is assigned to the user, and the EditSchedulesParent Component has been added to the Opportunity Lightning Page.

Steps to Complete

  1. Navigate to an existing Opportunity in the system.
  2. Click the “Manage Schedules” button on the Opportunity.
    • If you can’t see the “Manage Schedules” button, please ensure you have added the custom button to the Lightning Page.
  3. Confirm that you are in the “Mass Edit Schedules” tab.
    • Our “Manage Schedules” component has two areas, “Mass Edit Schedules” and “Edit Schedules”.
    • This functionality is exclusively available in the “Mass Edit Schedules” tab.
  4. Click the blue filter icon in the “Manage Schedules” component header.
    • When clicked, the filter pop-up menu will open.
  5. Modify your filter criteria in the filter pop-up.
  6. Click “Apply” once you are happy with your criteria.

Note:
Filters are not saved permanently, and refreshing the page removes any filters applied to the Opportunity Products/Product Schedules. To remove the filters manually, click “Clear” in the filter pop-up, or tap the cross on the “Filter Active” pill next to the filter icon.

Note:
If your filter causes an Opportunity Product to have no matching schedules, it will remain visible rather than hiding the row entirely. In many scenarios, understanding that an Opportunity Product has no matching schedules is valuable insight.

Outcomes

After your filter criteria are applied, you will only see Opportunity Products/Product Schedules that meet your parameters. Additionally, you can reopen the filter pop-up to further narrow your filtering criteria or to remove your filter criteria altogether.

Important Consideration:
By default, we only include “Schedule Start Date” and “Opportunity Product” in the filter pop-up. GSP Product Schedules fully support filtering with custom fields. For more information, see “Add Custom Fields To Filter Pop-Up“.

Troubleshooting

Why can’t I see the “Manage Schedules” button?
The “Manage Schedules” button must be added to the page, either within the Opportunity page layout or the Lightning Page (depending on your setup).

Recommendation:
Review our Product Schedules Quick Start Guide for a step-by-step walkthrough on adding the required components. If you don’t feel confident making these changes, or don’t have an admin that can make them on your behalf, get in touch.
